a word from the owner...

"We have loved living and raising our family in this great home and friendly neighbourhood. There is a lovely local community here in Leyton with Francis Road and its coffee shops and eateries an easy walk away and there is the new Blondies Brewery that has opened up round the corner which offers a great social space. There is the wonderful Jubilee Park at the end of the road for green space and we are in the catchment area for both Riverley and Willow Brook primary schools which are rated in the top 3 in Waltham Forest. Further afield you are just a short bus ride away from the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping centre, Walthamstow Village and Victoria Park. "

Our Local Guide:
Leyton

Radlix Road, Leyton — Stow Brothers

Assured locals barely bat an eyelid when the national press dub Leyton one of ‘best places to live’ in London – it’s been a regular feature since the 2012 London Olympics regeneration, but the area’s constant evolution means even frequent visitors can get taken aback by just how much it has going on.

With the lively cafes on Francis Road, the bustling High Road, the family-friendly footie action and easy access to the Olympic Park, Leyton can often feel like a city within a city. What’s more, these various layers work together to create a balanced community that comes free of any pretension, so even newbies can find themselves having a natter with the locals while they explore Leyton’s latest delights. It’s an easy reach too, with the Central line connecting Leyton with the city to the west, and leafy Essex to the east.

Transport links

There’s no ‘late’ in Leyton thanks to the excellent transport links. Leyton tube is on the Central line with direct trains into the City and Central London, while Leyton Midland Road is handily placed on the Overground line, as is the new-ish Lea Bridge station.

Great Pubs

Whether you want a quiet pint in the sunshine or a night of banging tunes, Leyton has you covered for pubs. With The Leyton Star, The Coach & Horses, William the Fourth, locals and visitors are spoilt for choice.

Plenty of period property

Leyton’s amenities might be largely new additions, but a lot of the property is gloriously old. Victorian and Edwardian houses are plentiful - including budget-friendly ‘doer-uppers’, and the wide tree-lined streets add further appeal.
