A luxuriously spacious three bedroom Victorian mid terrace with rear garden, perfectly placed on a tree-lined street at the edge of our borough's illustrious Walthamstow Village. A brilliant community bursting with things to see and do.

You're well-placed for transport, too. Wood Street station's a four minute cycle away (there's a handy secure bike hanger at the end of your street) to whisk you to Liverpool Street in twenty. Or you can ride one stop to Walthamstow Central to reach the West End just as swiftly via the Victoria line. Then there's the whole host of bus routes awaiting a mere three minutes' walk on Lea Bridge Road.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

You'll be lavishing your own interior design flourishes on an already-characterful home spread across three floors and 1200 square feet. Your lounge is a welcoming sociable star of 145 square feet, with a classic bay window and flawlessly restored vintage timber floorboards flowing underfoot, while the second reception next door's 100 square feet and enjoys a glorious cast iron vintage fireplace.

Continue through and your kitchen/diner's a sizeable 220 square feet with on-trend terracotta tiles running underfoot, a skylit dining area and handy WC tucked away to the left. Open the door here to step through to the garden – another space brimming with possibility and ready to flourish with some green-fingered know-how and canny landscaping ideas.

Back inside and head up to the first floor for a large 160 square foot double with twin windows and plush carpet, and a second double bedroom of 110 square feet with a garden view. Your bathroom's decked out in gleaming white tiles from floor to hip, while a curved tub sits in the corner. Lastly the 220 square foot second storey's loft bedroom comes with twin skylights, carpeting, a wealth of storage and gorgeous rooftop views.

Outside and you're moments from the Village, with its historic, peaceful streets, superlative restaurants, artisan shops and esoteric gems (including the effervescent neon wonderland and Instagrammer's paradise of God's Own Junkyard). Continue on for Hoe Street and the High Street, Walthamstow Central station plus the Walthamstow Mall. Alternatively, head towards Whipps Cross to be exploring Leyton Flats with row boats available to hire on Hollow Pond. Or then there's Wood Street, another hive of activity with a thriving indoor market awaiting your perusal.

a word from the owner...

"A much loved house for 28 years in which we raised our two daughters. It is reluctantly now time to move on and allow another owner to cherish the house and make it their own. We have loved the Victorian layout and character and a kitchen diner and loft bedroom have given us plenty of space. The garden is private and sheltered and has been invaluable during warm weather. Both our daughters went to local nurseries and schools (Henry Maynard, Frederick Bremer and Walthamstow School for Girls) and thrived there. The location is brilliant with the facilities of Walthamstow Village, the Bakers Arms, Walthamstow market, Wood Street, Leytonstone, Wanstead and Epping Forest are all within walking distance. Transport connections are plentiful with bus routes into Hackney, Islington and central London, the Overground to Liverpool Street and the fastest tube, the Victoria Line. You always get a seat being end of the line! The village is a lovely area to live, with pretty streets and a variety of eating places and regular community events. Cromwell Road is a friendly and quiet street with lots of long term residents. We shall miss it very much and hope that the next owners feel at home here as much as we have."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Cromwell Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
