2 Bedroom

1 Bath

This bright and spacious two-bedroom apartment has an enviable location in East London’s vibrant Clapton, just moments from the River Lea. Meanwhile, perks at home include the bright open plan kitchen/reception, floor-to-ceiling windows, built-in storage and the immaculate finish throughout. Public transport is also excellent, putting you in easy reach of the whole capital.

IF YOU LIVED HERE....

You’ll love the tasteful decor and considered fittings found in this home, which comes in at almost 600 square foot, offering treetop views thanks to its first flooring positioning. In the large open plan living space, the generous floor-to-ceiling windows bring in an enormous amount of natural light to showcase the immaculate decor. The kitchen area has smart units, glossy tiling and high-spec appliances - and as there’s space for dining as well as lounging, you’ll be keen to get your house warming invites out.

You’ve got two smartly decorated bedrooms, one of which has convenient in-built storage (you’ll find more of this in the hallway). The bathroom is just as sleek as the rest of the apartment, with modern fixtures and an over-tub shower.

As for beyond, you’re surrounded by some brilliant open spaces nearby - from Walthamstow Marshes to Millfields Park. Getting around on public transport is a breeze, too; Clapton station is a nine minute walk, where commuters can jump on the Overground and be in Liverpool St in around 15 minutes. It’s also within easy reach Dalston, Stoke Newington, Tottenham and Leyton and Walthamstow thanks to a great bus and cycle infrastructure, while amenities closer to home range from the brilliant Castle cinema to the newly opened Lee Valley Ice Centre.

WHAT ELSE....

- With so much to see and do nearby it’s hard to know where to start! We recommend heading to the award-winning Sodo on Upper Clapton Rd for delicious pizza. Fitness fans will be delighted to learn that you are only a few mins on foot from BLOK, a showpiece gym in a converted Victorian tram depot.
- The Lee Valley Riding Centre is just 15 mins away, and runs all sorts of courses for pony-loving amateurs and experts alike.
- The Crooked Billet is your new local, with a vast menu of pub grub and great Sunday roasts.

I feel right at home in Hackney, although I’m originally from Greece. You can be anyone, wear whatever you like and always feel welcome. The multiculturalism here comes across in the diversity of the cafés, restaurants, shops and bars. From specialty coffee shops and Michelin star restaurants to beautiful parks and art galleries, Hackney has something for everyone. Weekends at Victoria Park or Broadway market are filled with great community energy, international delicacies and local artisan creations. For dog lovers, the marshes are beautiful for afternoon and weekend walks with your four-legged friends. And while you’re there, you can stop by the river Lea at the Princess of Wales for a Sunday roast, Here East for brunch, or Crate Brewery for pizza and a local beer. Properties in the area vary from characterful Victorian and Georgian houses to charming local authority red-brick blocks and beautifully designed modern developments with communal roof terraces.  I have found my home in Hackney and it holds a very special place in my heart.   EVA BOUZAKI HACKNEY BRANCH MANAGER
