"We have loved living in this house for 8 happy years. The house is light and airy and we love spending time in the garden, especially in the spring and summer. We've had so much fun watching our young family grow up here. Woodlands Road has a great community feel, and at the bottom of the road there are many local amenities on the doorstep - from bakeries, cafes, independent shops to pubs, all within walking distance. It's also a short walk to Walthamstow Village in one direction, and in the other Epping Forest, which goes on for miles. We've spent many a morning or afternoon in the forest, exploring, listening for woodpeckers and picking blackberries in season. One final interesting fact is that the house sits right on the Greenwich Meridian, so officially half the house is in the Western Hemisphere and the other half is in the East!"

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
