Bright and beautifully presented, this two-bedroom Warner apartment perfectly demonstrates why these iconic properties are so popular today, with its smart layout and classic design, which has been thoughtfully updated throughout.

As for the location, the home overlooks Lloyd Park, so you could be enjoying the landscaped grounds of Walthamstow’s oldest green space within seconds of leaving that iconic arched front door. Just beyond, Hoe Street offers some fantastic amenities, while Walthamstow Central station is 15 mins on foot for the convenient Victoria line or Overground.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

How fantastic to live somewhere with such rich history; these timeless properties were the brainchild of Walthamstow's first mayor, Sir Thomas Courtenay Warner - they’re incredibly well designed, too.

Your kitchen/living area has been beautifully preserved, with neutral decor that contrasts beautifully with a bold feature wall. The kitchen area strikes a balance between being characterful but also modern, with its metro brick tiles, shaker-style units and butler basin. This theme is continued in the bathroom, where you’ll love the vintage-style floor tiles. and fittings.

Both double bedrooms have immaculate decor and plenty of natural light. Outside, you have a fantastically landscaped west-facing garden, but for even more fresh air, don’t forget that you’re mere metres from Lloyd Park, where you’ll find a skate park, playground, tennis courts, bowls club, dog park, cafes and the William Morris Gallery (which is, of course, the former home of the founder the Arts and Crafts Movement).

Beyond, the Hoe Street area is thriving with a creative energy that continuously draws visitors. Fancy a bite to eat? Choose between Time Out regulars Sodo, Yard Sale Pizza, Shri Lakshmi, as well as many more. If exercise is on the agenda as well as food, you’ll be pleased to hear that there are some excellent facilities, including yoga studio East of Eden and modern leisure centre the Feel Good Centre.

As for entertainment, the 950-seat Soho Theatre Walthamstow is set to open in 2025, while the wonderfully eclectic Trades Hall is a great spot for book readings, DJ sets and just relaxing.

WHAT ELSE?

-You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to local pubs; Ye Olde Rose and Crown and The Dog & Duck are much-loved by the community and can be reached within around ten minutes on foot.

- If you want a change of scene from the park, head to Fellowship Square which has a fantastic event calendar organised by the local authority, including a cinema lounge.

- Head to Walthamstow Central for Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street, as well 17&Central shopping centre, which has a fantastic food court operated by CRATE, and mini golf, as well as convenient chains.

a word from the owner...

"We have been so happy here on Winns Terrace and will really miss it! The home has bags of character and we are always proud to invite friends around for a BBQ. Initially we used the large second room for our flatmate and later turned it into our baby's nursery. The garden is a great place to work from home in the summer and catches the sunshine until late into the afternoon. Our front door leads straight into Lloyd Park and within a short walk we have some of London's best food markets, breweries, leisure centres, and countryside walks. We are only 30 minutes into the centre of the city but we have everything we need right on our doorstep."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Winns Terrace, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
