"I will remember this house and my 25 years here with great affection. My 4 son's grew up here and made full use of the loft bedroom and a shed at the rear of the garden that became a playroom. The space available to us in the house and in the garden was perfect, we had wonderful garden parties here. However, the time has come when I need to downsize, I will leave with mixed emotions, very very sad to leave, but memories of the fantastic times I had here will remain forever."

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own. 

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
