a word from the owner...

"We absolutely loved living in the neighbourhood, as we are an active family, We love cycling, more particularly MTB in Epping forest (Heel Cycles on Hale end road are amazing) and Nature in general! Highams park benefits from the proximity of it all! There are also many good primary & secondary schools, as well as various possibilities for our kids to meet up with their friends locally and attend extra curricular activities such as Guides or Scouts, Those happen only few steps away from our house in the Winchester road Methodist church. On the opposite side of the road there is a fresh fruits & vegetables shop; TFC, as well as a great Chinese restaurant; The Good friend, a new cool pub & a wine shop; Vinoramica. There are so many reasons to like the location, it's only 4-5 minutes away from the Overground station, allowing you to go easily to Liverpool street area with the vibrant Spitafields Market or Brick Lane! Not to mention that the bus served us as a taxi ... really convenient! Also, my wife liked the beauty salons and the manicure shops on the road & also the optician 'Henry Morgan' is really good, the book shop and all the small businesses in the area!

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Winchester Road, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
