The best of both worlds awaits with this generously proportioned four bedroom semi detached home, set on a peaceful residential street just a short walk from Wanstead High Street, Wanstead Station and the wide open green spaces of Wanstead Park. Retaining original Art Deco features while offering flexible family accommodation, this chain free home also benefits from a private driveway, a west facing garden and an impressive converted loft.
IF YOU LIVED HERE...
Stepping inside, the broad entrance hall introduces the home’s Art Deco character, with original details sitting comfortably alongside tasteful modern updates. To your left is a handy ground floor WC, while ahead the home unfolds into a pair of beautifully proportioned reception rooms, connected by wide opening doors so they can be enjoyed together or separately. The front reception is filled with natural light from a large bay window, while the dining room overlooks the garden. At the rear, the kitchen is neatly arranged with plenty of worktop and storage space, along with direct access outside.
The west facing garden is a lovely extension of the living space, with a generous lawn catching the afternoon and evening sun and mature planting adding a welcome sense of privacy. Upstairs, the first floor offers three well balanced bedrooms, including a particularly spacious principal bedroom to the front. A family bathroom sits alongside a separate shower room, making busy mornings that little bit easier, while additional built-in storage on the landing keeps everyday life neatly organised.
The converted loft creates an impressive fourth bedroom spanning the entire second floor. Bright, spacious and full of character thanks to its vaulted ceiling and rooflights, it could serve equally well as a principal suite, guest accommodation or an inspiring work from home space. In all, the home extends to an impressive 1,754 square feet, offering generous proportions throughout and plenty of room to grow into for years to come.

Our Local Guide:
Wanstead
Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.
For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.

Transport links
Wanstead, so good they connected it twice. Travellers have the choice of two London Underground stations at either end of the High Street - Wanstead at one and Snaresbrook at the other, both of which are on branches of the Central line.
Family Friendly
With plenty of open green open, laid-back eateries, great schools, cool creative types to live vicariously through, and enough coffee to keep any new parent sane, it’s no wonder so many families are moving to Wanstead.
Vibrant High Street
With a mixture of chain and independent stores conveniently selling everything from groceries to art supplies, Wanstead High Street is where the community comes together. We love that you might go out for a bunch of bananas but return with a vintage bowler hat.
Plenty of Parks on open green spaces
There’s an abundance of green space in Wanstead, with the Flats, Forest, Park and Pond providing a mixture of manicured lawns, untamed wilds and activity-packed playgrounds. Whether you want to burn off energy or recuperate, you’ll find the right spot.
