From here you've got direct, twenty minute connections to Liverpool Street and the City, as well as the start of Europe's longest street market. a word from the owner...

"Walthamstow is a really funky area with new exciting local amenities popping up all the time. There are great cafes, taprooms, pubs and restaurants all within walking and cycling distance. The Hackney, Walthamstow Marshes as well as the Queen Elizabeth Park is a large network of green space also accessible by foot and bicycle. Wathamstow has a farmers market and also one of the longest market streets in Europe filled with bustling energy and is a very multicultural neighbourhood. It also has great Arts and Culture such as the E17 Art trail and the new Soho Theatre in the borough. It is also within close proximity to Hackney, Leytonstone and Leyton. "

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Wetherden Street, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
