A fabulous four bedroom, two bathroom Victorian terrace home in the heart of Forest Gate. Filled with natural light throughout, lovingly developed and finished to an impeccable standard from top to bottom and front to back.

There's so much to love about this find, a classic build sensitively modernised to retain its original character. Plus you're just ten minutes from the ultrafast Elizabeth Line, putting you half an hour from central London, door to door.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

Your hallway leads you into your dual aspect, double reception, with windows to front and rear and original timber flooring underfoot. A bright and airy space that sets the tone for the rest of your new home. A WC is tucked under the stairs on your way to the kitchen diner, where you'll find glossy white units and tiling underfoot to match. Double doors reveal your pristine, low maintenance garden, with neat stone paving and raised brick built beds.

On the first floor you'll find your elegant family bathroom, with modern freestanding tub, walk in shower cubicle and concealed cistern WC, part tiled in pale greys. Your first bedroom overlooks the garden while to the front is your principal sleeper, with twin windows to the street and soft carpet underfoot. In the loft you'll find two further bedrooms, with shower room sitting between them. The larger to the front features twin skylights and eaves storage too.

It's just half a mile to Forest Gate station for the Elizabeth Line, taking you to Tottenham Court Road in under twenty minutes and Liverpool Street in less fifteen. Wanstead Flats is a ten minute stroll from your new home, once the favoured playground of Tudor Royalty and still some of the wildest wide open green space for miles around, all ready to explore. Even closer is Winchelsea Road, the heart of a diverse social hub home to a wide array of places to eat and drink.

a word from the owner...

"This has been a lovely house to start our family in. We have great access to playgrounds, green spaces, local pubs and it's in a wonderful community. The house is perfect for working at home and the garden / kitchen diner gives us plenty of space to enjoy the sun and socialise outside."

Our Local Guide:
Forest Gate

Wellington Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
