a word from the owner.......

"This flat has been my lovely first home of my own. A perfect stepping stone from renting into home ownership - I bought an unappealing shell of a flat and turned it into my own haven, every detail designed with so much love and attention. I made sure it was easy to maintain and keep clean, and used pale colours and neutral decor to keep the cosy space looking open and clear. I made sure that although the flat itself is relatively small, the storage space and kitchen and bathroom areas were ample, providing everything they needed to. The in-built storage makes the most of the space in (I think!) clever ways. I invested in certain items that made living in the space feel very luxurious at times - underfloor heating, brand new windows, engineered parquet flooring, boiling water tap in the kitchen sink, walk in rainforest shower. There are loads of things for families and individuals to do locally, and a fantastic sense of community exists - especially along Wood St. I am so delighted to be staying in the Wood St area of Walthamstow in my next home."

Our Local Guide:

Waverley Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
