The neighbourhood itself has such a warm, friendly atmosphere. There’s a wonderful community spirit and a great selection of local shops, cafés and pubs nearby, which makes everyday life feel vibrant and convenient. Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.
