a word from the owner...

"We love this flat. We moved in as a new couple eight years ago, both young (ish) professionals, who enjoyed the vibrant local community and the quick and easy access to central London. This home holds a huge number of happy memories for us, as we've lived here through a number of life milestones - we got engaged, we got married and this flat is our daughter's first home. We love living so close to Wanstead High Street, with some of our favourite restaurants, pubs and cafes - Bombetta, Piccolo, Provender, Gail's, The Bull, Bare Brew to name a few. Equally, we really enjoy having access to a large number of beautiful parks and green spaces nearby. Living here is like living in a village in the city - it truly provides the best of both worlds."

Our Local Guide:

Victory Road, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
