A glorious designer dream of a family home, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a wealth of sociable space, immaculately appointed across all three storeys. You're just moments from Wanstead Flats and the Elizabeth line at Forest Gate.

Among the many star attractions of your new home is your splendidly secluded garden, an elegantly landscaped patio below a large timber pergola, surrounded by stepped and raised railway sleeper beds.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

First stop will be your vast through lounge, coming in at almost 300 square feet it's a delightful introduction with bistro shutters front and back, twin vintage hearths and broad ash hardwood floors. Walls are finished in prisitne white and there's a wealth of open shelving. A brief secondary hallway leads past the stairs to your eighteen foot deep kitchen/diner.

In here you have twin flanks of cream cabinets, metro tile splashbacks, integrated appliances and timber effect counters. Onyx trimmed patio doors plus a large skylight flood the dining area at the rear with natural light, framing views of your rear garden. Upstairs, and the sleeping arrangements begin with a bright and spacious 140 square foot double bedroom to the front, with a second, similarly styled double next door, overlooking the garden.

Your family bathroom is a splendid affair, featuring both a clawfoot freestanding tub with matching vintage suite plus a stroll-in rainfall shower cubicle. Intricate vintage tilework runs underfoot and metro tiles run from floor to ceiling. Upstairs again, and the en suite to your skylit and substantial principal sleeper is just as striking, with brass fittings and rainfall shower under its own skylight with herringbone-white letterboxes from top to toe. Finally your fourth double bedroom to the rear completes things in similar style.

Outside and, as noted, Wanstead Flats is just five minutes away on foot. Once the favoured playground of Tudor Kings and Queens, this is still some of the wildest, wide open green space for miles around. Perfect for morning jogs and evening strolls alike, you can wander for miles and forget you're in London. Nonetheless, whenever you need to hit the City, Forest Gate station is just ten minutes walk and will get you straight to Liverpool Street in thirteen via the speedy Elizabeth line.

WHAT ELSE?

- You have seven primary/secondary schools rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted all less than a mile away on foot, with a further fifteen deemed 'Good'.
- Heading to the West End? Tottenham Court Road is just nineteen minutes direct from Forest Gate.
- The railway arches of Winchelsea Road are just a couple of minutes away at the end of your road, and the heart of an increasingly diverse collection of bars, cafes and restaurants, from the home made delicacies at Wild Goose Bakery to the craft offerings of Pretty Decent Beer.

a word from the owner...

"We absolutely love living in Forest Gate, We moved here 8 years ago and loved it for all the local bars, pubs and accessibly to Hackney Wick, Stratford and Central London. When we started our family Forest Gate had even more to offer with so many family friendly amenities on our door step. From the Can Club to the UP Garden and the beautiful Wanstead Flats there is always something to do to keep our family entertained. The area also has such a fantastic community feel with so many other families living in this area. Also since cross rail opened its completely transformed our commute to work and made central London so much more accessible with a young family."

Our Local Guide:

Vansittart Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
