"We’ve loved our time in Tower Hamlets Road – it is a welcoming, friendly neighbourhood that feels both private but close to all amenities. Highlights of the area include quick, easy access to Walthamstow Village, nearby Lloyd Park (and its farmers’ market each Saturday) and the William Morris Gallery, and the fact Walthamstow Station can be reached in under 10 minutes. The Bell pub is less than a five-minute walk away, Walthamstow Trades Hall (which hosts comedy and music nights, weekly quizzes and several family-friendly activities) is at the end of the street, and there are a number of small shops nearby for picking up any essentials. The property itself benefits from a bright, open kitchen-diner area, as well as a good-sized living room and a light office room, which has room for a sofa bed. Our favourite thing, however, has to be the private garden area. The patio area (perfect for BBQs) catches plenty of sun throughout the day and there is a shed installed, which is handy for storage."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
