3 Bedroom

1 Bath

An impressive 1930s three-bedroom semi-detached home in a peaceful yet well-connected spot in the sought-after Highams Park, just moments from the greenery of Epping Forest.

Coming in at an impressive 1,325 square foot, with potential to extend further (subject to the usual conditions), the property has an 81 foot garden at the rear, as well as a private garage and driveway.

Beyond your eye-catching stained glass from door, the large reception area is a welcoming space which benefits from plenty of natural light, as well as period features. With ample room for a full-size dining table, it’s a brilliant set-up for entertaining friends or family, especially with the conservatory to the rear, which looks out onto the epically large rear garden. You’re already kitted out with outhouses and a greenhouse here, but even the most amateur green fingers will enjoy adding to the mature foliage.

You’ll love how the properly stays true to its 1930s roots while also allowing modern updates to shine through. For instance, the kitchen is contemporary, with plenty of storage space.

On the first floor, the two double bedrooms are well balanced, while the third smaller room would be great used as a nursery or home office. Meanwhile, the loft space offers more storage opportunities.

The home is just a short stroll from Highams Park station, where you can nip to Liverpool Street on the overground in around 25 minutes - and the area is also well served by buses. As well as having a thriving food and drink scene (be sure to check out Vino Tap, The Stag & Lantern Micropub, Biba & Wren, and Yaz), the area is home to a vast amount of green space, including Epping Forest and, of course, Highams Park itself, which houses a tranquil lake, flower meadow and fun-packed playground. It’s also only a short hop to Walthamstow for even more top-class amenities, plus the handy interchange to London Underground’s Victoria line.

- Your new local is the grand Royal Oak. A great spot to enjoy delicious food in stunning surroundings, it's just 12 minutes on foot too
- Parents will be pleased to know you have an abundance of great schools in the area - one of the reasons that Highams Park is so popular with families.
- Drivers, already delighted about the driveway and garage, can be on the North Circular in just a few minutes.

a word from the owner...

"The property is ideal for a family who want to take advantage of Highams Park's unique position in London and make a house their long-term home. The area has a combination of a quiet area, great transport to central London and beyond, access to trendy cafes and bars, and shopping, and access to well-rated schools. For these reasons I lived in the property for over 20 years, and still enjoy returning to the area. Family circumstances meant that I relocated further out into Essex, but if I ever needed to move back to London then I'd have no hesitation in returning to Highams Park and ideally The Avenue as I believe that its a hidden gem in the London area."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

The Avenue, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
