2 Bath

A beautifully-restored three-bedroom mid-terrace home, which effortlessly balances classic features and modern convenience. As well as the spotless decor, highlights include the converted loft, kitchen-diner and private garden.

And as for the location, the property is situated an excellent spot by Blackhorse Road, with bustling eateries, excellent transport links and sprawling greenery all within strolling distance.

You’ll love the way that the period features and contemporary touches blend together to create a bright and beautiful living space.

The front reception space is spotless, with neutral decor, original floors, a charming fireplace alcove and generous windows. At the rear, the kitchen-diner is smartly designed, with plenty of storage space, as well as an abundance of natural light. On the first floor, you’ll find two spotless bedrooms and a family bathroom, while in the loft you have your master bedroom, with an ensuite and plenty of eaves storage. It’s all been immaculately decorated so you can feel at home right away, too.

You’ll really appreciate the beautiful rear garden, which has enough mature foliage to create a feeling of seclusion, as well as a shed for storage. Aside from your own plot of nature, you’ll find that there’s an abundance of green space in the area; the fantastic Walthamstow Wetland is only a short stroll away, while Lloyd Park - home to the William Morris Gallery - is a similar distance in the other direction. As for food and drink-based perks, SlowBurn, which was recently named one of the Guardian’s essential restaurants to ‘try right now’, is five minutes on foot, while the UK’s first dedicated brandy house, Burnt Faith, is even closer. You’re also a short skip from the Blackhorse Beer Mile, home some of East London's most exciting craft beer breweries, bars and street food, including Signature, Exale and Big Penny Social. Look out for the excellent social calendar at the latter.

As for mental and physical stimulation, the impressively designed bouldering studio Yonder is nine mins away. You’ll find a similar creative energy at Gnome House and Blackhorse Workshop, two studios where you can sign-up for excellent part-time courses. Make note of all this, but area is constantly evolving an attracting new ventures, so you’ll love uncovering your own new gems. No wonder Conde Nast Traveller ranked Blackhorse Road among the UK and Ireland's top destinations to visit in 2024. Luckily you’ve got a front row seat.

-It’s a 13 minute stroll to Blackhorse Road station, where the Victoria line will get you straight to Kings Cross in around 15 mins, or hop on the Overground, which zips between Gospel Oak and Barking. Buses are plentiful too. You also have the option of strolling slightly further to St James Street or Walthamstow Central for the Overground route to London Liverpool Street.
-New local? How about the Tavern on the Hill, a grand old pub given fresh life by the folks from Wild Card Brewery - ten minutes on foot away. It’s quickly become a foodie favourite thanks to its Caribbean-inspired roasts.
-Head to Walthamstow Central for Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street, as well 17&Central shopping centre, which has a fantastic food court and mini golf, as well as the convenient chains.

a word from the owner...

"We have loved our time in this house and the area. The house is light and airy, with great living space including a family kitchen diner, and a loft conversion which we use as a guest room and working from home space. It was a great place to start our family, being in walking distance to several parks, and good schools and nurseries. The area has loads to offer - we love the cafe at Blackhorse Workshop, the breweries up Blackhorse Lane, and bike rides to the Weltands, marshes and River Lea."

Our Local Guide:

Stirling Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
