Welcome to our home, we hope you love it as much as we do. Our street is quiet though has a little buzz of people at times walking to and from the bakery, kids cafe, wine bar and exercise studio! We have great and friendly neighbours to either side and across the road. We are a family of 5 and enjoy having plenty of space for our friends and family to come stay and for our kids to have their friends over too. We have a table and chairs outside as always have meals out there whenever we can. There’s a huge grapevine, strawberries, raspberry bushes and a delicious plum tree to enjoy! Our area has a great community feel, we built the tree pits you see on our street with our neighbours. And another local campaigned heavily to get funding to build the community garden that is a minute from our house. Our kids always have fun at the basketball court and always find new friends to play with. We hope you find as much joy here as we do.

Our Local Guide:
Forest Gate

Station Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
