a word from the owner...

"I've loved living here for the past few years. The flat has an excellent layout with large windows letting in lots of light and it has loads of storage. The enormous balcony is terrific in spring and summer for bright breakfasts and evening tipples. The insulation is fantastic too. I literally get through winter without ever putting the heating on (and saving lots of money!) The transport links are brilliant; literally a one-minute walk to Walthamstow Central station and then 15 minutes into central London on either the Victoria or Mildmay lines. It's also a 5-minute walk to Queens Road station and the Suffragette line, and the bus station. Walthamstow has a great energy. You're a 10-minute walk from charming Walthamstow Village and its excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants. You're a short walk from Lloyd Park and the Wetlands, both great for a stroll, and a quick Overground trip to Epping Forest. Lloyd Park also does an excellent artisan market on Saturdays. The building feels very safe and friendly. There is a double-door entry system and CCTV, as well as neighbours who look out for each other. It's a lovely, friendly, lively place to live and I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as I have."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Station Approach, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
