You'll step through that striking front door and upstairs to find your generous, 165 square foot reception to the front. Currently in use as an extra bedroom, pristine white walls make the most of the natural light flowing in from the high window. Your principal bedroom's next door, a substantial double, also flawless in white with views of your garden.

To the rear, your 140 square foot kitchen/diner provides plenty of social space to replace the front lounge, should you require. Dual aspect, blonde hardwood style vinyl flows underfoot and there's plenty of space for dining, with cabinets and jet black splashbacks tucked away at one end. Step through the back door and you have a modest balcony leading to your garden. Your family bathroom completes things in style, home to a rainfall shower and immaculately finished from floor to ceiling in marbled tilework.

Outside, and the open green spaces and ornamental gardens of Plashet Park are just moments away, perfect for morning jogs and evening strolls. West Ham Park (site of the first FA cup goal) is also within easy reach. Whenever you want to venture further afield, you have plenty of transport options surrounding your new home. Upton Park tube is just fifteen minutes on foot or five by bike, for direct runs to central London via the District and Hammersmith & City lines.

Our Local Guide:
Forest Gate

Stafford Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
