An exquisite three bedroom Victorian terrace, moments from Walthamstow Central and the Village. This brick fronted beauty has been stylishly updated with a splendid kitchen and superb loft conversion. A covetable home in a enviable spot.

Behind the wonderfully pretty traditional frontage you'll find over 1100 square foot of space to stretch out in. You'll be surprised too at how quiet your road is, considering it's a few steps from the station and barely twenty minutes from central London. Meanwhile it's a short stroll to the wonderful old town of the Village, where you'll feel a thousand miles from the city.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

From your welcoming hallway, bear right into your spectacular open plan ground floor. To the front is your lounge, with shuttered box bay window, wood burner and 130 square foot of hosting space. This gives on to your 100 square foot dining room, which in turn opens up into your kitchen/diner. A fabulously bright space of close to 190 square foot, in here sleek two tone units sit under glossy white worktops.

Step through bifold doors into your long, low maintenance garden, with raised railway sleeper beds overlooked by olive and fig trees. Past the handy utility and WC in the hallway and up the stairs, you'll come to your family bathroom on the first floor. Fully tiled in elegant shades of grey, it has a tile sided tub under the window as well as a walk in shower. Along the hallway is the first of your three bedrooms, with 100 square foot of space and garden view.

To the front is your second bedroom, with twin shuttered sash windows and a generous 155 square foot of relaxing space. Hardwearing carpet lies underfoot, and the walls are in the same soothing blue and grey palette as throughout. Your converted loft has 190 square foot of bedroom space under a trio of skylights and recessed lighting. There's a wealth of under eaves storage in here too.

It's barely three minutes' walk to Walthamstow Central station, where the superfast Victoria Line can whisk you to Kings Cross in as little as a quarter of an hour, and Liverpool Street is just twenty minutes on the Overground. Past the station is the High Street with its famous mile long market, and Hoe Street leading to Lloyd Park half a mile away. Five minutes on foot and you're in the heart of the Village, exploring secluded streets and great places to eat and drink.

a word from the owner...

"We've really enjoyed our time here. It's been 13 years, which is sometimes difficult to believe. The house is tucked away but so close to both the station and the village, and everything you need is nearby. We will miss having the walk up to the ancient house and around the village on our doorstep, and brunch and dinner at any number of local restaurants in the village and central Walthamstow. We will also miss the south facing garden, with its bay, figs and olive trees. We have actually brined and marinated our own olives, which were delicious and difficult to believe in E17! There are lots of birds up and down the back gardens of the terrace, which is a joy."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

St. Mary Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
