a word from the owner...

"232A has been an incredible first home. The process of maintaining and uplifting its unique character and period features has been truly rewarding. It has become a peaceful retreat where I have been able to host family & friends. The garden is a true highlight, offering a tranquil oasis that is especially delightful during the summer months. Discovering a passion for gardening, I have witnessed the beds come alive with a vibrant array of flowers and plants from spring through to November. The surrounding community adds to the overall living experience. The nearby Ruttle & Rowe cafe has become a beloved spot for satisfying caffeine cravings. Additionally, leisurely walks to Epping Forest, just a short 10-minute stroll away, provide a refreshing escape. While I have adored my home & community, I have been presented with an exciting opportunity to live closer to family and friends in Ireland. Therefore, it is with mixed emotions that I embark on this new chapter in my life."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

St Johns Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
