Your principal sleeper sits to the front, a huge double at 200 square feet, with bay window and bespoke wardrobe. Next door is a generous single, ideal for a child or walk in wardrobe. Up on the second floor your larger loft sleeper totals more than 320 square feet, with twin skylights and a window framing garden views. a word from the owner...

"We accidentally stumbled on Forest Gate 13 years about when buying our first house. We absolutely love living in Forest Gate and love the village feel - particularly St Antonys Road, where the neighbours are a beautiful mix of new young families moving in and older families who have lived there for a lifetime. We love living so close to the gorgeous West Ham park and their wonderful tennis courts, which we regularly play tennis on as a family. We are almost equal walking distance to Upton Park and Forest Gate station which gives a great choice of train lines for heading into London and a surrounded by many outstanding schools."

Our Local Guide:
Forest Gate

St. Antonys Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
