An impeccably spacious and artfully extended four bedroom Victorian end of terrace, arranged across three storeys and brimming with vintage features, style and character. All enviably located just moments away from Highams Park and station.

Your south facing rear garden is an elegantly arranged suntrap, with a large patio giving way to lush lawn flanked by decked and paved pathways, and ending in a handy shed. Your generous paved side return provides space for still further expansion (subject to the usual permissions).

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be stretching out in a shade under 1500 square feet of living space, the generous original architecture expanded still further with love, care and expertise throughout. Your twenty four foot deep though lounge is a fine example. Engineered hardwood runs underfoot, a vintage hearth with chic metro tile surround sits to the fore, and to the rear there's a window to your ingeniously arranged kitchen/diner, letting natural light flow throughout. Your dining area sits between three windows, looking back into the through lounge and out to your side return, all overseen by a striking exposed brick chimney breast with reclaimed timber mantel. Moving on into your kitchen, you have sleek white cabinets running down the flanks, topped with chunky quartz-effect counters and a hexagonal backsplash. Dual aspect, more natural light flows in from the garden. Upstairs, your principal bedroom is an especially sizeable double of over 200 square feet, with classic timber shutters on the bright bay window, soft carpeting and a pristine white paintjob. Bedroom two's a strikingly appointed double with garden view and open shelving, while the first floor sleeping arrangements are completed by your 140 square foot rear bedroom, complete with its own modest hallway and currently in use as an elegant home office, finished in smoky grey from floor to shoulder. Your family bathroom finishes the storey - a characterful affair with vintage geometrics underfoot and a rainfall shower over the tub. Past a striking exposed brick wall now, and up into your palatial loft suite, where you have a skylit, 160 square foot double sleeper, plushly carpeted and with a handy home working nook. Next door the luxury is amplified by a dedicated dressing room (also skylit) and a chic, boutique en suite shower room, with oversized rainfall shower cubicle.

WHAT ELSE?

- As noted, you're just three minutes walk from Highams Park overground station, where direct trains will whisk you to Liverpool Street in just twenty three minutes, putting the City less than a half hour away door to door.
- Parents will be pleased to find sixteen primary/secondary schools less than a mile away on foot, all rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted. The 'Outstanding' Oakhill Primary is just ten minutes around the corner.
- The wide open natural space of Highams Park is just ten minutes away, for great rolling parkland and tremendous views over London. There's also the famous Highams Park Lake, designed at the turn of the century by landscape gardener Humphry Repton (immortalised at the park's Humphry's Cafe).

a word from the owner....

"Highams Park is a wonderful community with a real village feel, right on the edge of Epping Forest and just ten minutes' walk from the lake, with direct transport links to central London. We have been very fortunate to have such lovely neighbours on Silverdale Road, who really look out for one another, with the local shops and cafes just a few minutes walk away (Biba & Wren is a particular favourite). Three highly regarded local primaries are well within catchment, as well as Highams Park secondary school. Being end of terrace, we have one of the largest gardens on the street - perfect for barbeques. South-facing, it is drenched with sunlight in the summer, yet the house itself manages to stay cool in the heat. We did the loft extension last year, adding a fourth double bedroom - with fantastic views - as well as a shower room and dressing area with built-in wardrobes. It has been the perfect family home and we will miss it dearly."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Silverdale Road, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
