Shingly Place Chingford , E4 6AE

Asking Price £625,000

4 Bedroom

2 Bath

This bright and modern four-bedroom end-of-terrace is situated in great spot where it’s as easy to get on the train to central London as it is to explore the woodlands of Epping Forest.

Coming in at 1351 square foot, it’s an impressively spacious property with side access, a private driveway and a 43 foot rear garden, as well as many other highlights, such as a downstairs WC and two bathrooms.

Chingford station is a 15 minute walk away, where trains nip to London Liverpool Street in about half an hour.

Beyond that private driveway, you’ll find a wonderfully proportioned home where every inch has been considered for the optimum layout. The placement of the kitchen at the front of the home follows one of our favourite interior trends - and here you’ll find ample storage space and quality appliances. At the rear you have the reception room, which is full of natural light thanks to large windows and patio door. The decor is bright and neutral, providing the perfect base for any of your own personal touches. The garden is nicely spacious, with lawn and patio area - great for barbecue season. Don’t forget your downstairs WC - a brilliant convenience. On the first floor, you have two immaculate bedrooms, a master at the rear with a modern en suite and custom storage, and a double front. On the second floor, you’ll find another two double bedrooms plus a family-bathroom, as well as more storage space. Back outside, there’s a great amount of green space nearby. As well as being so close to Epping Forest, you’ll find Ridgeway Park nearby, home to the Chingford & District Model Engineering Club, where members of the public can ride on the model railway on Sundays. Mansfield Park is a similar distance, too. Your neighbourhood benefits from an excellent food and drink scene, too. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to Thai food, with the Rusty Bike pub and Patpong Thai both serving up fantastic food with authentic flavour. Wilsons fish and chips, which has been keeping customer happy for almost a hundred years, is another great option for takeout, while Caribbean restaurant Dan Dan’s is newer but just as delicious.

- Drivers can be on the M25 or North Circular in around 10 minutes.
- As well as having the sprawling Epping Forest on your doorstep, you’ve also got some incredible outdoor pursuits around the River Lee’s reservoirs, including Lee Valley Athletics, Lee Valley Golf Course and the London Watersport Company.
-Not only do you have the option of getting the Overground all the way to Liverpool Street directly from Chingford station, you can also change three stops down the line at Walthamstow to access the speedy Victoria line to the West End. There’s a good bus network in the area too.

Our Local Guide:

Shingly Place, Chingford — Stow Brothers

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal.

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades.

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
