2 Bedroom

1 Bath

An immaculately characterful, strikingly finished, bright and spacious two bedroom apartment on the first floor of Forest Gate's converted Art Deco Trebor sweet factory. With classic design and industrial proportions, this is a unique find.

The inventive Design & Decor doesn't stop at your apartment door. A gorgeous lightwell of an atrium running through the heart of the building gives your well maintained communal spaces the feeling of a quality hotel.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

You'll be marvelling at the artfully adapted architecture on a daily basis, your whole apartment is semi open plan, with elegantly arranged spaces and sliding doors dividing the sociable and sleeping areas. Your 400 square foot kitchen/reception, for example, is arranged in an L-shape, with stainless steel cabinets, bespoke plywood worktops and a large chef's island taking centre stage. Flooring is blonde engineered hardwood and the large industrial windows let in floods of natural light.

Bedroom one, currently in use as a home office, flows seamlessly off the main corridor and faces directly into the lightwell, while bedroom two's Art Deco windows frame leafy street views. Both are bright, substantial doubles with plenty of room to relax. Your bathroom exemplifies this development's boutique hotel chic, with striking ebony fittings including a gorgeously trimmed shower screen, colourful geometrics underfoot and pristine tiling from floor to ceiling.

Outside, and you have Upton Park tube station just a half mile on foot to get you straight to Liverpool Street in less than fifteen minutes via the Hammersmith & City line. You also have the District line for speedy runs to the South Bank. If you're staying local then the open green spaces and ornamental gardens of Plashet Park are just a five minute walk, perfect for morning jogs and evening strolls. The legendary West Ham Park is also within easy reach.

WHAT ELSE?

- The ancient thoroughfare of Romford Road, with a whole host of day to day amenities from cafes to supermarkets, is just a half mile away on foot.

a word from the owner...

"The apartment is set within an extraordinary architect's development of an old Trebor Sweet factory. It is spacious with high ceilings and moving walls. There is a creative and friendly community within the block. The area is changing rapidly, with coffee shops and restaurants popping up in Forest Gate, and within easy reach of Stratford's amenities, along with being set between two high streets, of Upton Park and East Ham. West Ham park is an amazing local focal point, and Wanstead Flats provides vast open space within walking distance. Upton Park gives easy reach to central London and the Elisabeth Line already gives a rapid service to Liverpool St."

Our Local Guide:
Forest Gate

Shaftesbury Road, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.
