4 Bedroom

A superbly developed four bedroom Victorian terrace, close to St James Street for an easy City commute. Refurbished throughout to an impeccably high standard, its fittings have been thoughtfully chosen to complement the original features.

This classic heritage home has been boldly modernised, architecturally designed with exposed brick and black beams highlighting the contrast between old and new. You have a beautifully converted loft as well as a rear extension with floor to ceiling windows.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

Your front path is freshly tiled in traditional black and white, leading you to your stained glass front door, set in the handsome brick frontage. Step into your hallway for antique 1930s Benjamin industrial pendant lighting overhead, and your first reception on the right. With a large bay window, hardwood floorboards underfoot and bright white walls, it's an elegant, modern space that sets the tone for the rest of this home. The rest of the ground floor opens up to reveal your spectacular, light filled kitchen and diner.

Your kitchen units are in sage green, with hardwood worktops, brass fittings and splashbacks in Calacatta and Carrara marble. A breakfast bar divides the split level space, making a cosy dining nook and space for a coffee station (perfect for mornings working from home). It's all bathed in light from above while oversized windows and bifold doors frame gorgeous views of your neat and fully fenced garden, with paving stepping down to a lawn framed by brick built beds.

Upstairs for your first two double bedrooms, one to the rear overlooking the garden, and one to the front with twin windows to maximise the natural light. Your family bathroom completes the storey, with a gorgeous rolltop tub as well as open shower cubicle, with rainfall shower and Crittal style screen. Upstairs, your second floor loft conversion has two further bedrooms, the larger having its own beautifully boutique skylit en suite wet room. Both bathrooms more of those covetable Calacatta and Carrara tiles.

It's just over half a mile on foot to St James Street, from where the Overground will take you over the marshes to Liverpool Street in less than twenty minutes. You'll find plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, as well as the High Street with its mile long market and farmer's market on Sundays. St James Park is on your doorstep, and you're handy for Walthamstow Wetlands, the city's largest nature reserve. You'll forget you're in London.

a word from the expert...

"For me it’s the sheer variety you find in each pocket of Walthamstow that makes working and socialising here so enjoyable. Whether it’s having a coffee from Perky Blenders, going for a Sunday morning walk in Epping Forest, dropping into one of the local breweries in Blackhorse Road, or catching up with friends in Lloyd Park, the growth and positive changes within E17 have been incredible in recent years." Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Salop Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
