An immaculately appointed four bedroom Victorian terrace, brimming with designer details across all three storeys, with highlights including a superb penthouse suite and huge through lounge. All within easy reach of our famous High Street.

St James Street station, Lea Bridge station and Walthamstow Queens Road are all within a twenty minute stroll or five minute cycle, for a wide range of cross-capital connections.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be proudly welcoming friends and family into your twenty one foot deep, artfully segmented through lounge. To the front you have crisp clean lines, bistro shutters, a pristine white colour scheme and striking ebony vintage hearth. Step through the subtle archway and you’ll find a warm forest green aesthetic and a refined spot for coffee and a book.

There's more. Explore further and your dual aspect kitchen is a similarly generous nineteen feet in depth, running between twin flanks of cream cabinets, integrated appliances, timber worktops and metro tile splashbacks. Bi-folding patio doors let light flow in from the rear, illuminating your rose peach dining area and opening everything up to your rear garden. Out here a secluded patio gives way to a raised length of Trulawn, surrounded lush foliage and screening greenery.

Upstairs, your principal bedroom to the front is an impressive 180 square feet, with bistro shutters on the bay window and a jet black hearth taking centre stage. Two more double bedrooms complete the first floor sleeping arrangements, each finished in its own style, with the double to the rear currently serving as an ideal home working space. Your family bathroom completes the storey, a simple boutique affair in white.

Finally, your penthouse suite more than lives up to the name. This expertly realised loft conversion is built around a skylit, 140 square foot bedroom with hardwood herringbone flooring, a soft pastel green statement wall and plentiful under eaves storage. A walk-in dressing room adds still more luxury as well as another aspect for natural light. Finally, your second floor bathroom, effectively en suite, is the best yet, with jade herringbone tilework and brass fittings in the stroll-in rainfall shower.

WHAT ELSE?

- You have a full five 'Outstanding' rated primary schools all within easy walking distance. The closest, Sybourn Primary, is just five minutes on foot.
- With squash courts, gym, sports hall and a wide range of classes, Walthamstow Leisure Centre is a great spot to hit fitness goals, and sits just half a mile away.
- Your new local is the Hare & Hounds, a tempting gastropub where the decor is just as delectable as the menu. Just a third of a mile on foot. There's a fine beer garden too.

a word from the owner...

"We've lived here for 14 years and seen the neighbourhood change a great deal in that time. At the end of Salcombe Road is a fantastic collection of shops (including three good coffee options and a friendly Post Office) and all the amenities which makes life so much easier. As designers we've loved being close to culture, community and being connected so easily to central London. We're close to Central and Victoria lines as well as busses, the overground into Liverpool street and the hub of Stratford. In addition to our own garden, there is so much green space nearby which enables us to keep fit, run the dog and experience nature close to home. There is kid-friendly Thomas Gamuel Park (5 mins), Leyton Jubilee Park (8 mins) which also hosts Christmas fairs and music events, and the large Lea Valley marsh complex a 10 min jog away. Nearby sporting facilities are excellent too with the new Ice centre down the road, a refurbished 'Better Gym' a 5 min walk and all the Olympic facilities (cycling, hockey, events etc) all within striking distance. Internet is fantastic with 1GB Community Fibre installed in the property (never gone down in over 2 years of use) enabling both of us to easily work from home. There's also Virgin Media and Sky installed if you want to reactivate them. We renovated the loft last year, but there's still room to extend out the back and to the side to increase the floor space. Its a friendly neighbourhood (excellent neighbours on both sides that keep and eye out for us (and our deliveries) and friendly locals on the street) with fantastic connections to central London. Salcombe road itself is super-quiet especially in the well insulated loft. The only reason we're moving is to be closer to the sea and to take advantage of new work opportunities in Scotland."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Salcombe Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
