3 Bedrooms

Located on a quiet, no-though road close to Epping Forest, this 1930s semi-detached three-bedroom house benefits from being in an incredibly peaceful spot, while also being well connected to Central London.

Extending over 1300 square foot, it already comprises of a bright double-reception room, a kitchen with adjacent utility room, a first floor family bathroom, three good-sized bedrooms, a garage and a garden room, but there’s also the potential to extend further.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

Beyond that convenient private driveway, spacious front garden and gloriously green porch, the double-reception area is bursting with light thanks to the large bay windows and rear patio door. The neutral palette contrasts with the rich blue feature wall and natural wood floors, resulting in a feeling of warmth, while features such as the original fireplace, wood burner and custom alcove shelving create an instant impression.

The kitchen sits conveniently alongside the dining area, while the rear utility room will also prove to be ultra handy, ensuring you don’t have to juggle laundry and dishes in the same area.

The patio doors open onto the impressive 70 foot rear garden, which will be a joy for seasoned and budding gardeners alike thanks to its rich mix of fauna. The decked patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink, but you’ve also got the option of relaxing in the charming garden room, where you can enjoy the view of your beautiful home.

Upstairs, you’ll find a stylish family-sized bathroom, which has a free-standing bath and walk-in shower. The three bedrooms are just as immaculate, while the neutral decor means you’ll easily be able to add your own personality from the moment you move in.

Drivers will be delighted with the garage, private driveway and easy access to the North Circular, but it’s incredibly easy to get around the area on foot. You can be at the cusp of Epping Forest within around 20 minutes, while Walthamstow’s lovely Lloyd Park is the same distance in the other direction.

As for public transport, you’re an 18 minute walk to Highams Park station, where you can nip to Liverpool Street on the overground in around 25 minutes. On the way you’ll pass the quaint delis, stores and cafes that make the neighbourhood so sought after. It’s also only a short hop to Walthamstow for even more top-class amenities, plus the handy interchange to London Underground’s Victoria line.

a word from the owners......

"We've loved living in Chingford, having the best of both worlds on our doorstep; Walthamstow for the entertainment and culture and Chingford/Highams Park for the walks, forests, shops and restaurants. What we love about our house is it's surrounded by lots of lovely trees and greenery. Also, being on a no-through road, it's very quiet, with only residents and the occasional parakeet that pass by to say hello. All our neighbours are lovely and Ram at the corner shop is always on hand to supply you with all the snacks you could ever need. We will be sad to say goodbye, but we do hope the new owners will make it their home and enjoy it as much as we have."

Our Local Guide:
Chingford

Rowden Road, Chingford — Stow Brothers

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal.

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades.

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
