Upstairs to your first floor, you have two similarly sized double bedrooms, each flooded with light from generous windows. Your third bedroom, currently arranged as a child's room, offers a range of options. Here, cosy, dove grey carpet gives a lux feel underfoot, which is also in all rooms. This could be either a bedroom, with views looking out over your oasis of greenery below. A compact and chic bathroom is the height of contemporary Design & Decor. A jet black designer rainfall shower, matching tower radiator and teal floor make for a sleek, boutique feel.

Step out of your front door and you have Walthamstow's finest locale on your doorstep. Why not head to the Instagrammable hotspot that is God's Own Junkyard, just four minutes on foot, for its famous neon sign gallery? Or walk six minutes to pick up authentic pateis de nata treats from Made in Portugal cafe and delicatessen. Your new local is seven minutes away at the Nag's Head, where you'll fall for the charming, eclectic look, welcoming fires and fussable cats. The gorgeous greenery and playgrounds of Wingfield Park are a mere eleven minutes from your door.

a word from the owners...

"We moved to this house just before the birth of our first child. It therefore represents a very special family home to us. We have put a lot of energy into making the space work for us, by opening up the downstairs, landscaping the garden and installing a cabin. During lockdown we felt so grateful for the outdoor space and the peaceful neighbourhood around us. The house is very bright and has an easy flow between kitchen, dining and living areas. It's a very practical home with a loft, downstairs loo, porch and side access which are all really handy when you have children! We feel so fortunate to live in the sweet spot between the village and Wood Street, both of which have so much to offer. We can walk and cycle everywhere from here but we're also able to keep a car out the front thanks to our resident's permit. Walthamstow Central and Epping Forest are also within walking distance so it really is the perfect location."

Our Local Guide:

Rosslyn Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
