"We moved to this house just before the birth of our first child. It therefore represents a very special family home to us. We have put a lot of energy into making the space work for us, by opening up the downstairs, landscaping the garden and installing a cabin. During lockdown we felt so grateful for the outdoor space and the peaceful neighbourhood around us. The house is very bright and has an easy flow between kitchen, dining and living areas. It's a very practical home with a loft, downstairs loo, porch and side access which are all really handy when you have children! We feel so fortunate to live in the sweet spot between the village and Wood Street, both of which have so much to offer. We can walk and cycle everywhere from here but we're also able to keep a car out the front thanks to our resident's permit. Walthamstow Central and Epping Forest are also within walking distance so it really is the perfect location."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
