a word from the owner.....

"I’ve had this flat for over ten years now and have really loved living here. It’s tucked away on a very quiet cul-de-sac, giving it a peaceful feel while still being in an amazing location, with easy access to both Walthamstow Village and Wood Street Overground. It’s also very well positioned, making it easy to get into Hackney, Shoreditch, or Central London via the Victoria line, which is a big bonus. One of my favourite things about the flat is how light it is, with a beautiful green outlook from the large Victorian windows in the lounge, making it feel bright and calm throughout the year. There’s also very easy access to Epping Forest, which is perfect for Sunday walks. Walthamstow Village is just up the road and offers a great array of independent shops, pubs, and places to eat."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Roland Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
