A smartly arranged two bedroom apartment on the second floor of a contemporary block overlooking Wanstead's greenery. You have the tube on your doorstep and the bustling heart of this sought after East London village just a short stroll away.

There's a lovely, secluded private balcony, with views over the local allotments and the expansive greenery of Wanstead Park beyond. The ideal spot to start or end the day.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be basking in natural light throughout the day, with multiple south facing, floor to ceiling windows and French doors in your 180 square foot lounge flooding the space with light. Leading out to your balcony, you're also treated to framed, leafy treetop views. A fine hosting spot.

Elsewhere, your 150 square foot principal sleeper enjoys similar south facing views with a wall-spanning bank of windows. A pristine white paintjob makes the most of the natural light. Next door bedroom two's a similarly styled 100 square foot double, while your kitchen sits off the lounge, decked out in pine cabinets. Finally your bathroom features a teardrop tub under a rainfall shower.

Outside, it's just a half mile on foot to Wanstead tube station, sat in zone four for the central line. From here it's just eighteen minutes to Liverpool Street, putting the City less than a half hour away door to door. Tottenham Court Road, for the West End, is just nine minutes further. If you're staying local, Wanstead High Street starts just past the station, for a diverse, eclectic mix of independent bars, restaurants and gastropubs.

WHAT ELSE?

- You're spoilt for choice when it comes to a new local, but be sure to check out the salubrious surroundings of The Bull at Wanstead. A lovely gastropub sat in the grand environs of the former Conservative Club.
- You have Wanstead Leisure Centre just across the road, with gym, sports hall, squash courts and a wide range of fitness classes.
- The wide open greenery, ponds and waterways of Wanstead Park start just three minutes walk from your grounds. Whether you're a jogger or a stroller it's a superb space to have on your doorstep.

Our Local Guide:
Wanstead

River Close, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
