The main living room is at the front of the property, next to the main bedroom. This fabulous space oozes vintage character thanks to a striking panelled ceiling with a central ceiling rose and a cast-iron fireplace, and has abundant natural light from a wall of southeast-facing windows including a large bay. The kitchen/diner is a lovely bright room with white fitted cabinets and tiling, and wood effect lino. There’s a combination of fitted and freestanding appliances, and the room is big enough to fit a table if required. There’s plenty of daylight from a window above the sink and downlighters provide further illumination.

The second bedroom at the rear of the apartment is 11’1” by 6’4” and has leafy garden views. The adjacent bathroom is fully tiled, with complementary neutral-toned large format tiles. There’s excellent light and ventilation from an obscured glass window above the freestanding washbasin, and there’s a large contemporary shower cubicle and WC.

a word from the owner...

"I have enjoyed living here for the past 5 years. A fairly quiet road with easy access to motorways and good transport links. Lots of gyms to choose from and we are well located to use the 20212 Olympic sports facilities. There is good shopping at Stratford Westfield shopping centre and it is only 15 minutes into the West End now thanks to the Elizabeth Line, which can also take you all the way to Heathrow. I enjoyed lovely walks within the Olympic Park and along the canal towpath. Waltham Forest Council, our local council offers lots of support to residents and there are lots of groups and events to attend if you so wish. There are lots of good local restaurants and Francis Road and Fillybrook Road are close by."

Our Local Guide:
Leytonstone

Richmond Road, Leytonstone — Stow Brothers

There’s more to Leytonstone than first meets the eye. Say the name to one person and they might think of the grand houses around Hollow Ponds, while say it to someone else and they’ll mention burgeoning South Leytonstone, or maybe the popular Bushwood. There are many different pockets, but they’re all united by the same inclusive community who recognise that it’s the balance of it all that makes Leytonstone so great.

The centre is arguably the high street with its eclectic shops and eateries, but you only have to venture slightly further away and you’ll come across hidden gems like bar Filly Brook on Grove Green Road, music venue Luna Lounge in Bushwood, or the The Hitchcock Hotel in Upper Leytonstone. Travel a little beyond and you’ll find further contrast with the vast green space that Hollow Ponds and the Wanstead Flats provide. Simply put, you’ll never get bored in Leytonstone.

Too many pubs to choose from… What a problem to have. With The Red Lion, Heathcote and Star, The Hitchcock Hotel, The North Star, Leytonstone Tavern, locals are spoilt for choice. Better bring your pub crawl A-game if you visit.
