a word from the owner...

"I have lived here for 8 years and will be extremely sad to leave this bright and spacious flat with all the vibrancy of Hackney Central and Chatsworth Road a short walk away. Coffee hangouts are the best with Dark Arts a minute away and Bad Manners a firm favourite for a brunch al fresco. Pubs are plentiful.. The Chesham and the Plough being on the doorstep or a short walk to the Gun on Well Street or the Elderfield for quiz night... Victoria Park is a 15 minute walk away or Hackney Marshes are also nearby for all your strolling needs! The neighbours here are lovely and there is a great sense of community, with most people having lived here since the building was completed. There’s a building WhatsApp group and an active residents association who arrange annual events to bring everyone together a couple of times a year. I’m almost talking myself out of leaving..! "

Our Local Guide:
Hackney

Ponsford Street, Hackney — Stow Brothers

Where do you start with Hackney? It can feel like it’s all been said before, but, of course, it can’t have been because the area is constantly evolving, which is what keeps it so fresh. It’s just what happens when a neighbourhood has such a high population of creative innovators.

Even fans of Hackney’s scruffier edges love the imaginative ways that the area has been regenerated, with thoughtfully-designed stores, bars and coffee shops sitting comfortably alongside sleek architecture and beloved institutions such as Ridley Road Market.

Despite all this urban buzz, the area has a surprisingly large amount of green space, including Hackney Wick, Victoria Park and London Fields, which fill up with a mix of visitors and locals at weekends. Whether they go on to have food at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a pint in The Talbot or a swim in the lido, they’re all united in their love of this most unique community.
