"We moved here from Kensal Rise to buy our first house and give our (lockdown) blue Weimaraner puppy more space. We have loved making improvements to the property and make it feel like our home and we leave - sadly - with someone being able to make even more of it such as through a loft conversion. The kitchen feels so bright and spacious, being south facing and has been a lovely social space for us with the upstairs having a real airy and tranquil feel. With only 10 minutes to the station and 6 minutes walk to the amazing Walthamstow Village, this is an area that just keeps getting better and better - we are particularly excited about the Soho Theatre opening! There is a lot of greenery to be enjoyed with Hollow Ponds, the Saturday market at Lloyd Park just around the corner and we have spent many a weekend exploring the nearby Wetlands and exploring Epping Forest with the dog."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
