"Our flat has been a huge part of our lives and we have many cherished memories here, having been ours and our baby's first home. The flat has high ceilings and amazing day-long natural light, giving a very warm, welcoming and relaxed feel. We have found the layout of the flat provides us with a lot of privacy and as though we are transported into our own sanctuary when we walk through the door. We love cooking and have adapted the kitchen to be spacious and well-equipped with storage and plenty of bench space. We have added storage to the house as well, with a large hall cupboard, a built-in wardrobe and a bespoke alcove cabinet in the lounge. We adapted the bathroom to create the feeling of a much larger space, replacing the bath with a large shower with reeded glass and a free-standing Victorian basin. We restored the original flooring in the bedrooms and lounge and put new wood floors down in the hall and the kitchen to match the original. The location is amazing, being a centre point for accessing London Fields, Chatsworth Road, Stoke Newington and Clapton, where we are spoilt for choice with cafés and restaurants. We often take a walk through Hackney Downs Park in the weekends to grab a Papo’s bagel for breakfast or a coffee at Brunswick East or go closer to home to the amazing Lodestar on Clarence Rd. The strong sense of community and friendly neighbours whom we are close with have also been one of our favourite parts of the flat and area for us. We will be very sad to leave the flat, and the estate, but as we prepare to move back to New Zealand we are happy that our beloved home will have new owners who will undoubtedly love the space, create their own memories and make it their own."
