The bedrooms are just as immaculate with neutral decor and soft carpeting. One has custom-storage and an ensuite, and with another pristine bathroom in the mix, there’ll be no queuing in the morning.

Of course, you’ve got your own terrace/balcony to enjoy in warmer months, but if you want more fresh air, you’re only a a short hop from the brilliant Walthamstow Wetlands.

This whole area has boomed with youthful energy in recent years, with several independent businesses opening. You may already know about creative hub CRATE St James, an eclectic collection of ventures housed in eye-catching containers, but there’s plenty of other perks on your doorstep, include tasty brunch spot The Curious Goat.

Walthamstow High Street (Europe’s longest market no less) is only a few minutes away, where you’ll find hidden gem, Don Francisco Y La Luna - a much-loved neighbourhood tapas restaurant.

If you need to travel further afield, St James Street station is two minutes on foot for quick access to Liverpool Street on the overground, while Walthamstow Central is ten minutes for the speedy Victoria line into the West End.

- Head towards Walthamstow Central and you'll find the 17&Central shopping mall, the nine screen Empire Cinema and a host of excellent amenities on the High Street.
- Conveniently you’ve got a fantastic coffee shop - Beaten by a Whisker - mere metres away. Grab a drink to go, along with one of their more-ish cinnamon buns, to enjoy on your balcony.
- Chequers pub will make an excellent local, but for a more unique setting, Blackhorse Beer Mile is close by, which features some of East London's most excellent craft beer breweries, bars and street food.

a word from the owners.......

"The location of the flat is excellent, great transport links, market and lots of small business as well as larger supermarkets on our doorstep, plus (the biggest highlight for me) we're just off the Walthamstow marshes - great for exercising, nice walks and nature watching all year round, as well as picnics and hanging out with friends in summer. There is a real sense of community in the block, the neighbours here will really go the extra mile to help each other out on a daily basis."

Our Local Guide:

Old Brewery Way, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
