An imposing four double bedroom Victorian terrace home, on a quiet street close to Blackhorse Road. From the red brick double bay frontage to the gorgeous kitchen diner and throughout, this is a home as characterful as it is stylish.

There's over 1300 square foot of superbly finished space to play with in this covetable family home. Central Walthamstow with all its amenities and bustling markets is just around the corner, although you'd hardly know it from the serenity of your leafy street. You'll enjoy your lovely garden in summer, and cosy up by the wood burning stove in winter.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

Turn right from your hallway into your welcoming reception, a splendidly spacious through lounge of 280 square foot. The bay window to the front with wood shutters affords plenty of natural light, and there's a window to the rear too. Engineered flooring lies underfoot, and walls are finished in soft neutrals and mint green.

Step through into your 170 square foot kitchen, with a eye catching vintage aesthetic, and a large roof lantern above as well as dual aspect windows. A double size Butler sink sits under one window, and another has its own window seat, forming a log store as you'll see when you step outside.

There's a handy WC tucked away to the side behind a pocket door. A vibrantly tiled path leads to your garden, with large area of lawn framed by mature bedding. On the first floor you'll find your family bathroom, part tiled in metro white, with rainfall shower over the panel sided tub. Another room with an abundance of natural light. Along the landing is your first bedroom of 110 square foot, overlooking the garden, with painted boards underfoot and ochre feature walls.

To the front is your second bedroom, with its own bay window and 220 square foot of serene space. Unfinished hardwood boards lie underfoot, and a bespoke wardrobe sits to one corner. Two more beautifully finished bedrooms await on the second floor, the first to the rear offering ninety five square foot of space. Your fourth bedroom has 180 square foot to stretch out in, and a trio of sash windows to the front. The same elegant aesthetic is continued throughout.

You're under half a mile from Blackhorse Road station, meaning you could be at Kings Cross in less than twenty five minutes door to door. You're also just six minutes from St James Street, putting you around the same commute from Liverpool Street. Stoneydown Park is a short stroll away and perfect for kids, while Walthamstow Wetlands is under a quarter of an hour away on foot.

a word from the owner...

"We've loved living here. Our children have gone to the wonderful local primary school around the corner and we have been involved in community groups, sports teams and park organisations that all add to the very special feeling of community and inclusivity in the area. We've loved having the marshes, River Lea and the Wetlands within touching distance and Epping Forest within easy reach, often using them as places to socialise and for cycling and running. The rich diversity within the area is reflected in the people you meet and the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars close by. It is a very creative area with lots going on, places like Blackhorse Studios where you can practice your own work and many people doing interesting and engaged work. It all makes it an interesting and exciting place to live."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Northcote Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
