IF YOU LIVED HERE...

Warner Homes in Walthamstow are a distinctive part of East London's architectural heritage. Built by Warner family and designed to provide high-quality housing these red-brick homes are known for their durability and practical layouts. Many of these homes remain popular today, celebrated for their character, spacious interiors, and historical charm.

Entering through your private entrance, you’re welcomed by a high hedge that offers privacy and a lush green vista all year round.

The 143.88 ft² reception room is a generous and stylish space where natural light pours through two sash windows, illuminating the restored wooden flooring and dramatic original fireplace. A rich dark blue and taupe décor with white coving enhances its classic yet contemporary feel.

Down the hallway, you’ll find the bright and tranquil main bedroom (142.79 ft²), featuring a bank of built-in mirrored wardrobes and a side return window that ensures soft, natural light throughout the day. The second bedroom (73.80 ft²), also overlooking the side return, is a versatile space, perfect as a guest room, home office, or creative studio.

The bathroom with floor-to-ceiling beige marble tiling, a classic white suite, and a rainfall shower over a glazed bath is ideal for both indulgent soaks and quick refreshes. A double window provides excellent natural light and ventilation.

At the rear, the dual-aspect kitchen/diner is a bright and practical space featuring cream cabinetry, integrated appliances, and a gas hob for precise cooking. A glazed door seamlessly connects to the private garden, creating an effortless indoor-outdoor flow.

The secluded rear garden is a low-maintenance oasis, with paved areas for dining and relaxation. A Victorian geometric-tiled suntrap at the far end is the perfect spot to enjoy the last of the evening rays, while mature bay and blossom trees add a natural charm.

a word from the expert...

"For me it’s the sheer variety you find in each pocket of Walthamstow that makes working and socialising here so enjoyable. Whether it’s having a coffee from Perky Blenders, going for a Sunday morning walk in Epping Forest, dropping into one of the local breweries in Blackhorse Road, or catching up with friends in Lloyd Park, the growth and positive changes within E17 have been incredible in recent years."   KIM HEYWOOD E17 BRANCH MANAGER

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Northcote Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
