Your peaceful location's a mere nine minutes on foot from your nearest tube at Snaresbrook. While if you're staying local you have the most dazzling foodie delights and charms of one of Wanstead's most sought-after locales at your fingertips

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be delighted as you step through your beautifully embellished Victorian front door, a work of art with an entrancing floral mosaic glass design. Continue into your parchment white, sunny hall, across broad oak boards, and into your picture perfect 240 square feet living room, complete with original cornicing and a functioning wood burning stove to curl up in front of.

Your spacious, impeccable, white kitchen offers built in appliances while French doors welcome you to an outdoor haven, where a bedecked plinth awaits you beneath a pergola just begging for some scented honeysuckle or even a grape vine to move in. Upstairs to your first floor, your spacious principle bedroom will bowl you over with its bespoke, built in oak cupboards and spectacular original iron fireplace.

Two further fantastic bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangement, not forgetting of course the top floor triumph of your own dressing room or home office, with handy under eaves storage. Your bathroom is an intimate, petal pink retreat, with pristine white suite and chrome rainfall shower over the tub. Yet more built-in oak storage, as well as the macthing skirting boards and bath panel, give a coherent look to this inviting space.

You're just five minutes from Wanstead High Street, where discerning palates will find a wealth of delights. Renowned artisanal restaurant The Ginger Pig is just six minutes walk away. A runner up in The Observer Food Awards, here you can sample rare breed, dry-aged ribs. Or vegetarians can head six minutes to The Larder, for mouth watering plant-based plates to tempt you. For your nature fixes, the tranquil Eagle Pond is a stone's throw away.

- Snaresbrook whisks you on the Central Line to Liverpool Street in seventeen minutes. Wanstead tube is an eleven minute walk and it speeds you to the heart of Oxford Street for some splendid spending in twenty-eight. For drivers, the North Circular is just eleven minutes away.

a word from the owner....

"Wanstead is a fantastic place to live and we found an absolute gem in this house with it's spacious flexible living and now with planning permission to extend. There's a real sense of community on Nightingale Lane, we have wonderful neighbours with great pubs and restaurants a stones throw away. Well connected, Central London is fifteen minutes away, yet we're surrounded by green space. We will miss our home, it's going to be hard to beat!

Our Local Guide:
Wanstead

Nightingale Lane, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
