A richly finished and elegantly appointed two bedroom apartment on the third floor of a well maintained contemporary development, home to a friendly community of neighbours and sat among leafy grounds just moments from Wanstead High Street.
Wanstead's lovable mix of friendly village feel, superbly stocked High Street and speedy direct transport links has made it a great favourite with families and city commuters alike. You're in excellent company.

IF YOU LIVED HERE

Your hallway's immediately impressive, with high end, sound dampening laminate floorboards flowing underfoot, classic copper lighting overhead and a wealth of integrated storage and incidental space. Your bedrooms are either side of the hallway, 175 and 65 square feet respectively, both bright and welcoming with plenty of storage and a striking yellow statement wall in the double.

The jewel in this crown is undoubtedly your 195 square foot reception, dual aspect with a large window framing leafy green views, plus French doors out to your covered balcony where you can really drink the greenery in. Back inside and more of that lovely flooring running underfoot while in your semi-open kitchen there's a handsome suite of timber cabinets and a delectable breakfast nook. Finally your bathroom's an utterly pristine affair, gleaming in white and dove grey.

Outside and Wanstead High Street is barely three minutes walk away, just past the calm natural greenery of Memorial Green. The bustling heart of this East London village, here you'll find a supermarkets and stores, plus a dedicated fishmongers, artisanal butchers and fine choice of independent cafes and gastropubs. Former coaching inn The Cuckfield is our pick, with a deliciously varied menu that nods to its heritage.

a word from the owner...

"The location is excellent. There's a huge green area across the road (part of the Royal Parks group) representing the southern tip of Epping Forest. There are lakes and mature trees. Tracks connect the park to Epping Forest located north of the north circular and reach for many miles north. Ideal for track-fit cycles and runners. Close by are Wanstead Flats, Wanstead Park, and other green spaces including Christchurch Green running alongside the local high street.Three Central Line stations are within a ten minute walk as is a Tesco Superstore. All the neighbours are friendly, quiet, and not intrusive. Very supportive and knowledgeable. The demographic is wide in terms of age and nationality.I've lived here for over twenty years and not because I had to."

Our Local Guide:
Wanstead

New Wanstead, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
