Situated in an excellent spot less than a mile from Upton Park station, this three-bedroom Victorian terrace home is a great find for anyone keen to lay down some roots while enjoying the immaculate restoration work that’s already gone into the property.

As well as the stylish design, highlights include two receptions rooms and two bathrooms, plus a beautifully landscaped garden at the rear. The fact that the home is being offered chain-free is another excellent bonus, as is the potential to extend into the loft.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

You can take pride in knowing that you have a few little hidden gems on your doorstep, from the up-and-coming community of Plaistow to the burgeoning scene around East Ham. You’ve also got a surprising amount of greenery nearby considering all the urban buzz - you’re just ten minutes from Plaistow Park, while Central Park is only slightly further. Back in your bright and airy home, you’ll love the tasteful decor and spotless fittings. In the front reception room, the generous window, soft colour palette, spotless flooring, custom shelving and ornate fire surround work together to create an inviting den. This theme continues in the rear reception, which would make a perfect dining room thanks to its proximity to the adjoining kitchen. Here you’ll love the smart cabinets, brass fittings, pendant lighting, unique alcove space, spotless tiling and walk-in larder. The downstairs WC/shower room is both convenient and stylish. The beautiful rear garden has a fantastic array of foliage, and the raised beds will be a delight for any green fingered residents. The clever landscaping means there are two patio areas, so perfect for catching optimum rays, and the rear pergola, which surrounded by leafy climbers, will surely be a much-loved spot for relaxing. Back inside, head upstairs for the stylishly decorated bedrooms - two doubles and a rear single, which would be perfect for a kid’s bedroom or home office. The family-sized bathroom has been immaculately designed with herringbone tiling, black fittings and an over-tub shower.

a word from the owner...

"I've loved every minute of the 5 years I've spent here. Particular joys include cycling down the Greenway to the Olympic Park and Hackney Wick, summer swimming in the Royal Victoria Dock, Sunday roasts at the Boleyn, curries on Green Street, meeting amazing authors and poets at the local bookshop (which has been around since the 70s!), and the excellent chelsea buns at Central Park Café. The estate has a fab community feel - check out Wild Green E13 on Instagram. The house & garden have been my haven - the previous resident (who lived here for 50 years) clearly had green fingers as the soil is just incredible for growing stuff! I've done quite a lot to the house since moving here - new bathrooms, kitchen, boiler, plastering, rewiring, loft boarding - but there's still loads of scope to improve or extend it in the future (both neighbours have loft conversions!). My partner & I are buying a place together closer to family in the north, but New City Road will always be special to us and we hope the new owners enjoy it as much as we have!"
