A classic and immaculate three bedroom Victorian mid terrace with a low-maintenance, south-west-facing rear garden. The best of Leytonstone is at your fingertips here – superb transport, amenities galore, and wide, open green spaces.

Whenever you've a hankering for nature, step into the ancient woodland of Bush Wood – just three minutes' stroll from your front door. From here you're free to explore Wanstead Park and Wanstead Flats, both beautiful, epic blue and green spaces in their own right.

You'll be relaxing in your immaculate twenty six foot lounge/diner – a sublime, dual aspect space with light pouring in through a bistro-shuttered bay window, vintage moulding and ceiling roses overhead. Your dining area's zoned by elegant Hague blue walls, and sleek timber boards flow underfoot throughout. Step back into the hallway and on your left sits a handy and stylish WC with white tiles against dusky pink walls.

Your next port of call will be the 230 square foot eat-in kitchen, a beautiful dual aspect space home to a Belfast sink, cloud grey cabinets, a tower radiator, and access to your garden. Step out here for a lovely low-maintenance length of Trulawn surrounded by beds. Back inside and pad up the juniper green stairwell now for two impeccable double bedrooms, one with its own Art Deco fireplace. Bedroom three's a single ideal for a child or study, you've a dressing room next door, and the family bathroom comes with rainfall shower over the tub, and a traditional white suite.

Outside and Leytonstone tube station is seven minutes on foot to shuttle you into central London in less than half an hour door-to-door via the Central Line. You're also just a couple of stops away from Stratford for Westfield Stratford City shopping centre and the Olympic Park. Leytonstone High Road overground for the Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside line's a thirteen minute stroll away – swap at Barking for trains bound for Southend-on-Sea. Alternatively, seven buses are at your disposal just around the corner on Leytonstone High Road, and drivers can be on the North Circular or M11 in just seven minutes.

a word from the owner...

We've loved living here and renovating this beautiful Victorian period property over the last 2 years. The house is spacious, warm and great for a family. The area has so much to offer - it's got an amazing local community who are very welcoming, plus a number of great pubs, restaurants and coffee shops right on your doorstep. For kids, there are a bunch of great local things to do - a swimming pool and soft play leisure centre just 15 minutes walk away, the local library and playground and a number of great classes and nurseries all within walking distance. The huge amount of green space surrounding Bushwood is amazing and great for dog owners. We have absolutely loved living here and wouldn't live anywhere else in London.

Our Local Guide:

Mornington Road, Leytonstone — Stow Brothers

There’s more to Leytonstone than first meets the eye. Say the name to one person and they might think of the grand houses around Hollow Ponds, while say it to someone else and they’ll mention burgeoning South Leytonstone, or maybe the popular Bushwood. There are many different pockets, but they’re all united by the same inclusive community who recognise that it’s the balance of it all that makes Leytonstone so great.

The centre is arguably the high street with its eclectic shops and eateries, but you only have to venture slightly further away and you’ll come across hidden gems like bar Filly Brook on Grove Green Road, music venue Luna Lounge in Bushwood, or the The Hitchcock Hotel in Upper Leytonstone. Travel a little beyond and you’ll find further contrast with the vast green space that Hollow Ponds and the Wanstead Flats provide. Simply put, you’ll never get bored in Leytonstone.

Transport links

Just two stops from Stratford, Leytonstoners can nip to the Kent coast with surprising ease, but Central London or the City on the tube might be more useful - the former takes about 25 mins and the latter 15 mins. Easy.

Great Pubs

Too many pubs to choose from… What a problem to have. With The Red Lion, Heathcote and Star, The Hitchcock Hotel, The North Star, Leytonstone Tavern, locals are spoilt for choice. Better bring your pub crawl A-game if you visit.

Plenty of period property

Despite all the urban bustle, Leytonstone has an abundance of wide, tree-lined streets brimming Victorian and Edwardian property, ranging from the grand homes in Upper Leytonstone, a stone’s throw from Hollow Ponds, to the many terraces of South Leytonstone, and the popular community of Bushwood with its active residents’ association.
