A lovingly developed three bedroom family terrace, artfully extended to maximise natural light and sociable space. You have a rear garden with brick studio, ideal for all manner of uses, and Highams Park station less than a half mile away.

Your fifty foot rear garden's a handsome combo of patio, lawn and beds, with that 100 square foot garden room making for a distinct home office. Perfect for that essential work/life balance.

IF YOU LIVED HERE

Highlights are plentiful but let's just drop your jaw right away with the thrillingly extended, 400 square foot kitchen/diner. White vintage timber floorboards run underfoot throughout, while overhead you have a gloriously vaulted ceiling with twin skylights. A suite of wall spanning windows and patio doors frame garden views and let still more natural light flow into the dining area.

Your kitchen space is just as impressive, with a stately chef's island, topped with marbled work surfaces, taking centre stage. Further cream cabinetry lines the walls, with brass fittings and timber worktops. Back to the front, you have an elegant, 195 square foot lounge, with richly restored vintage timber floorboards underfoot, pastel mint colour scheme and striking statement wall. A chic understairs cloakroom completes the ground floor.

Upstairs now for the sleeping arrangements. Your principal bedroom sits to the front, a generous 145 square footer with more of those pristine white original floorboards and a handsome ebony hearth in the chimney breast. Bedroom two, to the rear, is another double, similarly styled, while your third sleeper's a generous single finished in dark turquoise. Finally your family bathroom - immaculately decked out in vintage floor tiling and complete with walk-in rainfall shower.

a word from the owner...

"We have renovated this house from top to bottom and it’s a completely different place to when we moved in. Now the kitchen space is great for entertaining, especially with the doors open in summer, and the living room is cosy with the fire on in winter. This year we built a vegetable bed and new patio so we could enjoy the garden even more. Highams Park is a great community and we’ll really miss living here."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Morley Avenue, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
