a word from the owners....

"We have lived in this house for over ten years and have been incredibly happy here. We have seen the area develop and thrive as a consequence of the Olympics and we have been spoilt for choice by the infrastructure around us (from world-class sporting venues, to entertainment venues and going forward, having the V&A, Sadlers Wells and several university campuses right on our doorstep). This has meant that Leyton and Stratford are constantly evolving and there is always a new restaurant or activity popping up! During our time here, both myself and my partner worked in the city and it has been so helpful having the central line as this meant our commute was less than 30 minutes door to door. Now we are parents, we have thrown ourselves into the abundance of classes and activities for children on offer and also into the thriving community of young families (priced out of Hackney and Islington), who are pouring into the area. We are very sad to leave this house and hope that you will be as happy in it as we have been for the last ten years!!"

Our Local Guide:
Leytonstone

Millais Road, Leytonstone — Stow Brothers

There’s more to Leytonstone than first meets the eye. Say the name to one person and they might think of the grand houses around Hollow Ponds, while say it to someone else and they’ll mention burgeoning South Leytonstone, or maybe the popular Bushwood. There are many different pockets, but they’re all united by the same inclusive community who recognise that it’s the balance of it all that makes Leytonstone so great.

The centre is arguably the high street with its eclectic shops and eateries, but you only have to venture slightly further away and you’ll come across hidden gems like bar Filly Brook on Grove Green Road, music venue Luna Lounge in Bushwood, or the The Hitchcock Hotel in Upper Leytonstone. Travel a little beyond and you’ll find further contrast with the vast green space that Hollow Ponds and the Wanstead Flats provide. Simply put, you’ll never get bored in Leytonstone.
