Head to the dine-in kitchen and enjoy the vintage-style flooring, glossy metro-brick tiling, smart units and integrated oven. From here you can also access your generous private garden, a mix of patio (ideal for barbecues) and raised lawn bursting with foliage. Back inside and the bathroom's a gleaming solace decked out in steel grey metro tiles and, lastly, the second bedroom is a beautiful double enjoying a dual aspect and patio doors opening straight out onto your garden; a wonderful find!

As for beyond, you’ve got plenty of greenery to explore nearby; Jubilee Park is just a short stroll away, while Hackney Marshes and Walthamstow Marshes are just slightly further.

Head a few metres south and you’ll reach Lea Bridge Road, which has become a hot spot for independents, such as eco-refill store-cum-coffee shop Cups & Jars, Italian deli with a Japanese influence Pinch la Deli and eclectic event space/bar/pizzeria Patchworks, which now houses Blondies brewery.

If you’re looking for a coffee and some peace and quiet, look no further than the nearby Lea Bridge Library, which won multiple design awards last year when a stunning extension housing a cafe was added to the Grade-II listed building.

a word rom the owner......

"We've loved making this place our own, with the new kitchen plus turning our hand to gardening and landscaping. We often borrow and lend items to our lovely neighbours, and have spent many a morning in our favourite local cafes: Bromley's and BBs. The Aldi and Post Office minutes away is very convenient, not to mention the newly upgraded ice rink, blondies brewery and our favourite pub Princess of Wales all a walk away. There's a gym nearby, plus Jubilee park, with a great running route along the canal to Hackney Marshes and the Olympic park."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Markhouse Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
