a word from the owner...

"The flat has proved to be an excellent base for us in London, with easy access to Leyton and Walthamstow stations a short walk away, as well as the 55 and 56 buses at the end of the road. The main selling point of the flat for us is the gated parking and garage, which was excellent for storage and our projects. The property is also a short walk from Jubilee Park and Hackney Marshes. We have recently refurbished the property, which includes new fuse board, immersion water tank, bathroom improvements, completely new kitchen (including the addition of a breakfast bar) and new flooring throughout the flat. The flat is ready to move into."

Our Local Guide:
Leyton

Manor Road, Leyton — Stow Brothers

Assured locals barely bat an eyelid when the national press dub Leyton one of ‘best places to live’ in London – it’s been a regular feature since the 2012 London Olympics regeneration, but the area’s constant evolution means even frequent visitors can get taken aback by just how much it has going on.

With the lively cafes on Francis Road, the bustling High Road, the family-friendly footie action and easy access to the Olympic Park, Leyton can often feel like a city within a city. What’s more, these various layers work together to create a balanced community that comes free of any pretension, so even newbies can find themselves having a natter with the locals while they explore Leyton’s latest delights. It’s an easy reach too, with the Central line connecting Leyton with the city to the west, and leafy Essex to the east.

Transport links

There’s no ‘late’ in Leyton thanks to the excellent transport links. Leyton tube is on the Central line with direct trains into the City and Central London, while Leyton Midland Road is handily placed on the Overground line, as is the new-ish Lea Bridge station.

Great Pubs

Whether you want a quiet pint in the sunshine or a night of banging tunes, Leyton has you covered for pubs. With The Leyton Star, The Coach & Horses, William the Fourth, locals and visitors are spoilt for choice.

Plenty of period property

Leyton’s amenities might be largely new additions, but a lot of the property is gloriously old. Victorian and Edwardian houses are plentiful - including budget-friendly ‘doer-uppers’, and the wide tree-lined streets add further appeal.
