a word from the owner...

"The property has served me well, it is chain free with no onward purchase to hold things up. You could be celebrating the New Year in your new home. It is in a fantastic location if you want a little countryside to go with the city life. Epping forest is a short walk, the River Lea and Canal path is virtually at the end of this Cul- de-sac. Public transport is via bus mostly tube (Tottenham Hale 40 minute pleasant riverside walk/ Highams Park 20 min walk- through two parks with bus stops 10min walk) great access for drivers for the M25 and A406 North Circ). Great starter home or business residence which, as it was when I bought it- ready to move into. All furniture may be included as this is a second home. There is so much to do if you want down time from the city, great running routes, cycle into Camden along the canal or drive into Epping Forest (or walk cycle). Believe this location is possibly one of Chingfords best kept secrets. Additionally, supermarkets/ Costco etc are in walking distance."

Our Local Guide:
Chingford

Mandeville Court, Chingford — Stow Brothers

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal.

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades.

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
