This bright and spacious one-bedroom apartment is situated on the second floor in a purpose-built block, close to the edge of Epping Forest’s lovely Eagle Pond. Highlights include the immaculate finish, separate kitchen/reception, balconies, off-street parking and communal gardens.

As well as all that sprawling nature, Wanstead’s High Street is within easy reach, with its much-loved pubs, restaurants and stores, as is Snaresbrook station, which offers quick access to the city via the Central line.

With over 522 square feet of internal space, this is a fantastic home, just ready for you to move into and enjoy the renovation work that’s already been finished. Due to its neutral decor and generous dual aspect windows, the reception room has a bright and brilliant feel. There’s plenty of room for working or relaxing, and the balcony will be a fantastic extension of the home. The separate kitchen is smart and modern, with sleek units, glossy metro brick tiles and integrated appliances.

As for the bedroom, it’s a generous double with the same pristine decor and soft carpeting, while the bathroom is a good-size too, with modern fittings, floor to ceiling tiles and an over-tub shower.

Outside, beyond the communal gardens, the village-esque hub of Wanstead is right on your doorstep. With everything from horse riding, farmer’s markets, charming pubs and lush greenery on your doorstep, it’s easy to forget that you're only about 17 minutes away from the city on the tube. Your nearest station is Snaresbrook, which is a five minute walk away, putting you less than half and hour away door to door.

If you want to stay local, though, Gail’s Bakery will always be a winner on work from home days, but for a treat, book in for the excellent Provender Restaurant. Takeaway? Tiffin Tin is fantastically popular throughout the whole area. Your new local? How about the converted 19th century coaching inn The Cuckfield, which is a 13 minute stroll away. The Duke Wanstead is another great option too.

You also have easy access to South Woodford, where you have even more amenities, including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and an impressive Art Deco Odeon cinema. Leyton and Walthamstow are both close to hand too.

- Fancy a tipple with a view? The Sir Alfred Hitchcock Hotel - a nod to the area’s renowned export, is 12 minute stroll over Hollow Ponds and the perfect place to to watch the sun go down.
-Drivers will be happy to know that the North Circular is conveniently located, but not close enough to impact on all that peace and quiet.
- There are excellent sport facilities available at the nearby Sylvestrian Centre, which is located within independent school Forest School but accessible by the public via membership.

a word from the owner...

"As a professional couple we have really enjoyed our superbly located flat in the heart of Wanstead community. We are a stones throw from both Wanstead high street and Snaresbrook tube station. We love to stroll up the high street to enjoy the many independent cafes like Bare Brew on our way to Wanstead Park, and on our return we like to sit in the cosy Cuckfield or the Duke for a drink! Having Stratford (8mins) & Liverpool Street (18mins) only short tube rides away has provided plenty of options for both work and play beyond the locality and with the night tube there is never a need for a taxi!"

Our Local Guide:

Malcolm Way, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
