a word from the owner...

"We moved to Highams Park over ten years ago and immediately found neighbours that became. friends on Lyndhurst Road. It is one of the friendliest places we've ever lived with everyone pitching in to help one another. Highams Park itself is a village within London filled with friendly faces and good friends. The high street is filled with independent shops, eateries, coffee bars, pubs and wine bars to visit - there are too many to list but every one is worth an explore. The house is within the catchment for the Ofsted Outstanding Selwyn Primary and every primary and secondary in the area is either Good or Outstanding. It is on the doorstep or a short walk to Epping Forest, the Highams Park, Kitchner Park, Peter May gym and playing fields, and the Feel Good Centre, which has a spa, pool, gym, track, climbing wall and trampoline park. Lastly, this property has easy access to the A406 and is a ten minute walk / easy bus ride to Highams Park station, with a 20 minute ride to Liverpool Street, 35 minutes to the West End and with the new Elizabeth line, 45 minutes to Canary Wharf and a bit more than an hour to Heathrow. The entirety of London, quite literally, is at your doorstep. We've loved this property for years, and it's provided us a wonderful sense of home. We hope you are able to find the same."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Lyndhurst Road, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
